As many as 150 PKK cadres participated stunting reduction acceleration program held by South Jakarta Empowerment, Child Protection and Population Handling (PPAPP) Sub-agency.

South Jakarta Administration and People Welfare Assistant, Sayid Ali, appreciated the PKK cadres for actively in reducing stunting.

Ali added that the strategy to reduce stunting in South Jakarta has been implemented for some time. This includes the activities of the Nutrition Care Group (KPG) and the Foster Parents Movement for Stunting Toddlers (Go Tuntas).

Those two programs are created in all urban villages, both at stunting and non stunting area. It is aimed to prevent stunting and improve the toddler's nutrition.

"It is hoped that government assisted by PKK cadre are able to give optimum result in reducing stunting in South Jakarta," he added.

South Jakarta PKK Chairwoman, Essie Feransie Munjirin, explained her side involved 150 participants of PKK Chairwoman from 10 sub-districts and 65 urban villages, RPTRA Forum, Pokja 4, and PKK cadre at 10 stunting locations.

Essie stated government and PKK are serious in reducing stunting in South Jakarta. Various innovations in realizing efforts to reduce stunting have also been carried out. So it is targeted that by 2024 it can reduce the prevalence of stunting by up to 14 percent.

"I hope everyone remains enthusiastic in carrying out stunting prevention efforts," she admitted.
